The Haunting of Bly Manor Cast: Who is returning from The Haunting of Hill House?

The much-anticipated sequel of Netflix’s horror series arrives on October 9. The Haunting of Bly Manor is set to scare with a brand new tale of a haunted house but which members of the original cast are returning and who will they play in Bly Manor?

Although some of the actors will return for the popular anthology thriller, the second season will adapt a different story and characters. It will be loosely based on the 1898 horror novella “The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James. The story centers a young governess tasked to look after two orphans at a family country house. After a few stays, she began seeing apparitions that convinced her to believe that the house is haunted.

Horror enthusiasts got their first glimpse of the show’s look when its official Twitter page dropped some BTS images. These showed actors like Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen in their new roles. Aside from these, fans also got to peek at some new roles played by T’Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli and Amelia Eve.

Here’s what we know so far about the cast and the characters they’re playing in the new series.

Victoria Pedretti as Dani Clayton

Victoria Pedretti Who is she and what else has she been in?

From the miserable daughter Nell in Hill House, Victoria Pedretti will now play the sweet and optimistic governess, who according to James’ original story, comes to take care of the two unusual children.

Henry Thomas as Henry Wingrave

Thomas, who played as the troubled patriarch in the first season, returns as Henry Wingrave. He is the children’s estranged uncle who would rather stay away from the house.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Peter Quint

Playing another role lifted from the book, Jackson-Cohen will portray Peter Quint. He is said to be wicked here — a quite turnaround from the delinquent Luke that he played in season one.

Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Miles

Miles is one of the children that would be under Dani’s care. He is said to be the more unpredictable and violent of the two.

Amelie Smith as Flora

Flora is the sweeter and more cheerful of the two children. However, she has a few shares of oddity too, as seen from the trailer.

Amelia Eve as Jamie

Eve will play the role of Jamie, the manor’s groundskeeper. Personally, she is a skeptic who is not bothered by what’s going on in the house.

T’Nia Miller as Hannah Grose

Miller takes after the book character Mrs. Grose, the Bly Manor’s manager. She might be someone who knows more about the house’s story and history.

Rahul Kohli as Owen

Kohli’s Owen is the Bly Manor’s chef. Just like the groundskeeper, he seems to be unaffected by the house’s power.

Katie Parker

Another Hill House alumna joining the ensemble cast is Parker, whose role is yet to be determined. She was Poppy Hill in the first season, one of the scarier Hill House residents.

Kate Siegel

Another familiar face you will see in season two is Siegel, whose role is also still unknown at this point. Seigel is showrunner Flanagan’s partner who personally announced her casting news. “The Haunting wouldn’t be The Haunting without fan favorite Kate Siegel,” he explained on Twitter. She played the psychic, haunted sister Theo in season one.
