There are a lot of reasons why 2020 was hard – global pandemic, recessions, political conflicts, and of course, favorite celebrities that passed away.

Show business and watching celebrities live their lives to the fullest are two of the many things that distract us from the negative side of life. More often than not, we establish connections with them by seeing similarities between their lives and ours.

This year, we have lost more than our fair share of our idols and here are 10 of the many that really shook us to the core.

Chadwick Boseman was famous for bringing Black Panther to life. However, at such a young age of 43, he passed away after years of battling colon cancer last August.

Kirk Douglas who played Spartacus, whose career was immortalized by the numerous accolades and awards passed away last February. He was 103-years-old when he passed.

Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash while he and his daughter, Gianna, were on their way to a basketball tournament. He was 41 when he passed.

Olivia de Havilland passed of natural causes in her home in Paris. She was 104-years-old and was one of the Golden Age of Hollywood survivors.

Naya Rivera who was famous for playing Santana in the hit-musical show, Glee, accidentally drowned in a river in an attempt to save her son, Josey.

Carl Reiner was one of the brilliant minds behind the show, The Dick Van Dyke Show. He passed in his home in Beverly Hills due to natural causes.

Regis Philbin was in the Guinness Book of World Records as the hardest working man in showbiz. He was a talk show host, singer, and media personality. He died due to heart attack from coronary artery disease.

Kelly Preston is famous for being a lead in a film with Tom Cruise, entitled Jerry Maguire. She was a loving wife to John Travolta. However, after a difficult battle with breast cancer, her body succumbed to the disease.

Sean Connery, the James Bond actor, passed at the age of 90. He died in his sleep while he was in the Bahamas. According to sources, he died of pneumonia-related symptoms.

Alex Trebek is famous for being a long-time host in Jeopardy! whose sharp wit and charming personality has captured the hearts of many in the studio and all over the world. His death was caused by pancreatic cancer.
