WandaVision will release another exclusive look on the upcoming Disney+ series before its debut via ABC on Christmas Day. Launching in a few weeks, Wandavision is MCU’s first series premiering on the streaming service. The show brings Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany back to reprise their roles as Wanda and Vision. It will uncover what they have been up to since they were last seen in Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War, respectively.
The newest sneak peek at the show will take place on Christmas Day, December 25. ABC’s official Twitter account shared the exciting news on Saturday. It wrote, “@DisneyPlus is giving you a marvelous gift this Christmas! So make sure to watch the #DisneyChristmasCelebration to get an exclusive look at the new #DisneyPlus series #WandaVision. @WaltDisneyWorld.”
Viewers are then encouraged to tune into the network’s Disney Christmas Celebration to take a glimpse of WandaVision’s newest preview. The event, hosted by Tituss Burgess and Julianne Hough, is scheduled to air at 10:00 a.m. ET on ABC. It will also feature performances from today’s hottest stars like Becky G, Maddie and Tae, Trevor Jackson, Tori Kelly, and Keegan-Michael Key.
What can we look forward to in WandaVision?
Since the first teaser was revealed months ago, there have been a number of different looks for the Marvel series. Disney+ previously teased a couple of posters, hinting that the MCU series will be set in different periods. The era is differentiated through the television progression, from black and white set to a more sophisticated colored one. This is a part of paying homage to multiple decades of TV sitcoms.
“If you think about it, what Kevin Feige has done is like a grand TV experiment anyway,” says Bettany on Marvel’s decision to incorporate classic sitcom elements to the show.
“It’s sequels and spin-offs, in an episodic formula and spin-off formula, like you’ve had in television forever, just done on a grand scale in film. So, moving it to TV, I think they made a really smart decision, as an homage to lots of different eras and genres of the American centuries’ TV,” he added.
The official trailer for WandaVision was unveiled in September during the Primetime Emmy Awards. The newest trailer, which saw the return of the ‘Mind Stone,’ was unleashed during Disney’s Investors Day a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Christmas may not be the last chance for fans to get an exclusive look at the series. ESPN and ABC are scheduled to broadcast a combined five NBA games on Christmas Day. ESPN will also be airing the three College Football Playoff games on January 1 and January 11, respectively. Those mentioned periods can provide great opportunities to air exclusive Disney content. Be that as it may, the countdown officially begins, with WandaVision premiering soon on January 15 at Disney+.
