Cobra Kai Star Cast In The Walking Dead Season 10

Cobra Kai star Okea Eme-Akwari gets cast in The Walking Dead for its extended tenth season. Because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, AMC has decided to forego launching a new season this October. Instead, it will extend season 10 with six more episodes, which will be premiering in February 2021.

The preview for TWD season 10 finale episode teased the arrival of a masked man. After its release, the identity of the man remained hidden. However, he was painted as a good guy and an ally of the newly returned Maggie.

Last Thursday, AMC finally unveiled the actor beneath the mask. Cobra Kai’s Okea Eme-Akwari officially joins the hit series, following his debut in “A Certain Doom,” as Elijah. In its official Twitter account, The Walking Dead confirmed the news saying, “Okea Eme-Akwari (Cobra Kai, Greenland) has been cast as Elijah (aka the masked stranger) in #TheWalkingDead!”

Further details about his character, including the episodes he will appear in are yet to be revealed. In line with this, showrunner Angela Kang has dismissed fan theories that Okea will play the comic book character Mercer. On the other hand, she promised that we will get to know more about his character soon. In addition, fans will eventually learn what Maggie has been through recently.

“That’s going to be a big part of the story in the six episodes to come, but also in the season 11 as a whole to come,” she told Business Insider.

Cobra Kai Season 3: Release Date and Plot

Eme-Akwari is also set to appear in season 3 of Netflix’s Cobra Kai as Shawn. As a newcomer arriving in the series, little has been known about his role which is also debuting next year. The action drama will be available for streaming on the platform starting January 8, 2021.

Despite having his student’s best interests at heart, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) has lost the loyalty of Cobra Kai students. His former sensei John Kreese (Sean Kanan) now mentors them, who also happens to take over the dojo. To win back Cobra Kai, Johnny needs to gain the loyalty of his students. Unfortunately, it may take the students pushed to their absolute limit by Kreese before realizing Johnny is the better sensei.

The fight at school between the students of Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai also ended in tragedy. Robby (Tanner Buchanan) kicks Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) down a flight of stairs, hurting him severely that he had to be on life support. Fans can look forward to the continuation of his tragic fate, whether he recovers and goes back to training.

Cobra Kai star Zabka says season 3 will raise the bar higher from the first two seasons.

“The end of season 2 is a car wreck essentially,” Zabka said. “There’s a lot of pieces to put back together. There’s a lot of healing that has to happen. There’s a lot of growing that needs to happen. I’ve seen a lot of fan theories out there, and heard a lot of fan theories. Nice tries. It’s awesome. I mean, season 3 is fireworks. And I think it’s season 1 and 2 combined on steroids.”
