Hulu’s Helstrom Cast – Who Plays Who & What Else Have They Been In?

Halloween’s just around the corner, and it’s just about time for creators to showcase their spooky content. For Hulu, that means releasing their latest collaboration with Marvel Studios, Helstrom, a web television series. While the show looks promising, viewers are curious on who the characters will be in this much-awaited action thriller. Who plays who in Helstrom and what do we know about them? Find out below.

Helstrom is Hulu’s upcoming action thriller based on the popular characters in Marvel Comics. It centers around Daimon and Ana Helstrom, the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer. The siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity, each with their attitude and skills.

“We feel incredibly fortunate to have landed a cast loaded with this much talent,” producer Paul Zbyszewski said. “From the beginning, we knew we’d need a group of actors who were multifaceted, who could play all the chords any great Marvel show promises to play, from dramatic thriller to comedy to action. It’s going to be really fun to watch them work.”

Tom Austen as Daimon Helstrom

Austen plays Daimon, a professor of ethics who also practices exorcism. Daimon has no illusions about saving a world, but his mother suffered a strong case of possession; he then enters into a mission of figuring out its root cause. In his battle against the dark forces, Daimon is determined to hunt down demons and will not stop until they’re annihilated. 

Tom is most well-known for his roles in Grantchester and The Royals.

Sydney Lemmon as Ana Helstrom

Lemmon stars as Ana, Daimon’s estranged sibling. She runs a successful auction house, but her true interest lies in rooting out those who hurt others. Burdened by her traumatic past, Ana is driven to rid the world of those like her father. 

Sydney’s most notable roles were in shows Fear The Walking Dead and Succession.

Elizabeth Marvel as Victoria Helstrom

Marvel portrays Victoria, Daimon and Ana’s mother. Tormented by demons both real and imagined, Victoria has been institutionalized for 20 years. As she struggles to be herself, she also hopes to repair her relationship with her children.

Elizabeth’s recent appearances were in the series Homeland and the film, The Meyerowitz Stories.

Robert Wisdom as Caretaker

Caretaker (Wisdom) is a guardian of knowledge of the occult. He uses this knowledge and his relationship with Ana to drive the demonic forces away. 

Robert’s latest projects before this were comedy series Ballers and superhero drama, Watchmen.

Ariana Guerra as Gabriella Rosetti

Equipped with a great balance of logic and faith, Gabriella (Guerra) is a woman that hails from the Vatican. She came to help Daimon and Hastings uncover cases of demonic possession. She hopes to save everyone she can, including Daimon. 

Ariana’s recent works featured her in Raising Dion, a superhero web drama series, and the Netflix’s famous flick, Insatiable.

June Carryl as Dr. Louise Hastings

Hastings (Carryl) is the head of the psychiatric hospital where Victoria is institutionalized. As a trusted ally, she has watched over the Helstrom family for years, caring for them as best she can. 

June last appeared in a psychological crime thriller, Mindhunter and highly raved film, Dead Women Walking.

Alain Uy as Chris Yen

As Ana’s business partner and closest friend, Yen (Uy) would pass as her surrogate brother. He takes responsibility for the majority of the auction house’s operations, and assists Ana with whatever she needs.

Alain recently played roles on the thriller series, The Passage and documentary film, Paper Tigers.

Helstrom Release Date

Hulu will drop Helstrom’s first season on their streaming platform on October 16. Its official trailer was released last September 23. Watch the show’s teaser below.
