Gal Gadot to Star as Evil Queen in “Snow White” Remake

You’ve probably seen Gal Gadot star in “Fast & Furious” and “Wonder Woman”, but now, you can see Gadot take on the role of Evil Queen in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of “Snow White”.

Gadot will star alongside Rachel Zelger, who’s best known for her role as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story”. This time around, Zelger was cast to play the classic and iconic princess, Snow White. The film will be directed by Marc Webb, who is best known for his work with “The Amazing Spider-Man”, as well as “500 Days of Summer”.

“Rachel’s extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts,” Webb said. “Her strength, intelligence, and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale.”

The live-action remake of “Snow White” will follow the original Brothers Grim fairytale, based on the event of an orphaned princess living with her Evil Queen stepmother, who tries to poison Snow White. The film will follow Snow White as she attempts to escape the Evil Queen and live happily ever after.

The idea of the timeless fairytale has been in the works since 2016, and the production of the film is finally set to start sometime in 2022. That being said, there isn’t a concrete release date for “Snow White” as far as we know.
