When Ronald Moore showruns, I pay attention. This is because of my love undending for Battlestar Galactica.

Moore’s new project is Outlander, based on the novel series by Diana Gabaldon. I haven’t read the series, but the component parts-a time-travel period drama about a WW II nurse and an18th Century Scottish hunk in a kilt leading to steamy sexiness amid horse-riding adventure, all brought to you by the Battlestar guy-to make me intrigued.

A genre mash-up with great looking production values. At the very least, Outlander will warrant a try.

Outlander will air this summer on Starz.
