Everything You Need to Know About Tonight’s CMA Awards

Tonight’s the night! You can finally see the biggest stars in country music at the 2021 CMA Awards. From Eric Church and Chris Stapelton to Gabby Barrett and Miranda Lambert, there’s a long list of notable celebs that have been nominated for one of these iconic awards.

The 55th annual Country Music Association Awards consists of twelve categories, including:

  • Entertainer of the Year
  • Single of the Year
  • Album of the Year
  • Song of the Year
  • Female Vocalist of the Year
  • Male Vocalist of the Year
  • Vocal Group of the Year
  • Vocal Duo of the Year
  • Musical Event of the Year
  • Musician of the Year
  • Music Video of the Year
  • New Artist of the Year

Several country stars will take the star-studded stage to perform some of their greatest hits, including Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean with their current hit, “If I Didn’t Love You”. Also performing is Kane Brown and Chris Young with “Famous Friends”, and Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde will team up to perform their hit song, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl”.

The highly-anticipated award show will be hosted by Luke Bryan, who isn’t one to shy away from being in front of the camera.

“Being in front of the TV a lot with ‘American Idol’ has gotten me more comfortable with the role of doing these things,” Bryan said. “I’m excited to be in the role and be confident in the role.”

The 2021 CMA Awards will air on ABC tonight at 8 p.m. ET. The show will also be available for those who have a participating TV provider account can access coverage on the ABC app or at abc.com.
