Saved By The Bell Cast: Who Plays Who In The Show?

The much-anticipated reboot to the 90s hit sitcom, Saved By The Bell arrives on Peacock this November 25. Cast members from the original drama will reprise their roles including Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano), Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater), and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris). However, new characters will also be introduced as the new generation of Bayside High students stars in this retelling series. Who are they and who will they play?

In the revival drama, then “California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools.” As a response, he proposes to send the affected students to well-funded schools in the state including Bayside High. The influx of these new students shall give the privileged Bayside kids a much-needed dose of reality.

Here’s what we know about the new cast and the role they are playing in the series.

Saved By The Bell Cast

Belmont Cameli as Jamie

Chris Haston/Peacock

Cameli plays Jamie, the son of Elizabeth Berkley’s character, Jessie. He is the captain of the football team which makes him a Bayside royalty. Elsewhere, Cameli is relatively a newcomer. His credits include a guest-starring role in a 2018 episode of Empire, and a part in The Husband thriller the following year. More recently though, he is set to appear in the comedy-drama film Most Guys Are Losers.

Mitchell Hoog as Mac

Chris Haston/Peacock

As the son of Governor Zack Morris, Mac is presumably a spitting image of his father. Luckily, that’s a role Hoog should already be comfortable with. It’s because he previously played the younger version of Trevor St. John’s character in the CW series Roswell, New Mexico. Soon, he’ll also play the younger version of Patrick Wilson’s character in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.

Dexter Darden as Devante

Chris Haston/Peacock

Devante is described as a mysterious loner looking to reinvent himself at his new school. In real life though, Darden has already made a name for himself after starring as Frypan in the Maze Runner film trilogy.  He also starred in the movies The Binge and Joyful Noise and the TV show Making Moves.

Alycia Pascual-Peña as Aisha

Chris Haston/Peacock

Aisha (Pascual-Peña), another transferee student, will reportedly shake things up when she tries out for Bayside’s football team. Consequently, Pascual-Peña is also a fresh face in the industry. Her acting experiences only include a two-episode stint in NBC’s Chase in 2011 and a role in The Plug in 2018. However, she will be appearing in Amy Poehler’s upcoming film Moxie.

Haskiri Velazquez as Daisy

Chris Haston/Peacock

Velasquez plays Daisy, Aisha’s smart and ambitious best friend. She was previously seen in the Facebook Watch horror series The Birch as Charlotte. She also appeared as Rosa in this year’s Netflix comedy film The 40-Year-Old Version. Moreover, she guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Blue Bloods.

Josie Totah as Lexi

Chris Haston/Peacock
