Lucifer wrapped up season 5 part 1 back in August with a major cliffhanger featuring Lucifer, Amenadiel, Michael and Maze. The celestial beings entered into a brawl and battled out in the offices of LAPD while time’s frozen on Earth. However, God himself interrupted the commotion as he came down to express disapproval of his children fighting. Now, a new teaser shows us the aftermath of the scene.
On Thanksgiving Day (November 26), the show’s official Twitter account posted a fan cam video of Chloe Decker’s best moments. As the 50-second clip was about to end, its final 10 seconds showed a scene continuing from Lucifer Season 5A.
The scene shows Chloe Decker, confused and dazed while walking around the offices of the LAPD and searching for Lucifer. She asks a passing colleague, “Have you seen Lucifer?”
As time already resumed, the window glass from which Lucifer crashed through is still falling to the floor in real-time. However, Lucifer is nowhere to be seen.
Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 Recap
At the end of part one, Chloe told Lucifer she loves him and nervously waits for Lucifer’s response. However, before Lucifer could even speak, Amenadiel froze time, with only the celestial beings on Earth remaining unfrozen.
Michael then again shortly bursts onto the scene joined by Maze, who had sided with the evil angel. Maze felt betrayed by Lucifer’s lies about her mother Lilith (L. Scott Caldwell) and struggled from having no soul. She accepted Michael’s invitation after being promised of a soul.
Lucifer season 5A finally ended with God appearing on the steps of the LAPD office. He says, “Children. You know I hate it when you fight.”
What will happen in Lucifer Season 5 Part 2?
While there could be several possibilities of where Lucifer ends up, fans surely hope he doesn’t return to hell again. Another possibility would be Lucifer, Amenadiel, Michael, and Maze returning to God’s home which is heaven. Consequently, the first episode of part two is titled Family Dinner which likely suggests peace-making among the celestial beings.
In addition, the show’s official Twitter account posted a cryptic message about the upcoming second part for fans to solve. It says, “No news on 5B but the real news we’ll let you in on is that *** and **** are heading to therapy.”
Lucifans were quick to speculate that “God” and “Luci” will be the ones heading to therapy. On the other hand, some also suggest it is God and his “sons,” suggesting a probable group therapy.
Star Lesley-Ann Brandt also teased that her character Maze will come face-to-face with God in season 5’s part 2.
“I have a great scene in the back half of the season with Dennis [Haysbert] and it’s incredibly… Well, you get to see my demon face in that scene, I think I can drop that in there!” she said.
