Is our bat radar broken or does it seem like we’ll be seeing more of the Gothamites?
According to Gotham‘s creators, season five was the end for the show but why do we feel like we’re still going to be seeing more episodes.
Throughout Gotham’s five seasons, the impact it has made for DC’s Batman fans is massive. Not only that, it has also peaked the interest of those who never would have thought that they’d be constantly checking the internet for more information about Bruce Wayne.
The show is an action crime series produced by Warner Bros. Although the show’s ratings were consistently good from the get go, we may have to face the reality that season six is unlikely to happen. Especially since HBO Max announced that the show’s fifth season will be its last as well.
Plot of Gotham Season 6
Gotham follows the story of Bruce Wayne – a young boy who just wanted to go to the opera with his parents. However, things took a turn for the worse when a mysterious gunman killed both his parents in a grimy alley.
Bruce Wayne starts to have anger issues and want to somehow abuse his privilege just to get revenge on whoever gunned his parents down. Of course, his butler named Alfred Pennyworth would not let that happen. He is Bruce’s legal guardian.
Another main storyline of the show is that of Jim Gordon’s, a recruit from the Gotham City Police Department.
He paired up with a veteran named Harvey Bullock to help solve the crime in Gotham City. Jim crosses path with Bruce Wayne when he gets dispatched to an alleyway where a billionaire and his wife were killed by people from the city’s criminal underworld.
As for the plot of Gotham Season 6, we don’t have much information besides that the fifth season is its last. Could we be expecting a spinoff show where we actually see Batman in action?
The Cast of Gotham Season 6
Honestly, Gotham is one of those shows that have the most underrated cast members. The cast portray the characters so well that it gets pretty difficult to distinguish them from whoever they’re playing.
Here’s a list of the cast members:
- David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne
- Benjamin McKenzie as James Gordon
- Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock
- Erin Richards as Barbara Kean
- Camren Biscondava as Selina Kyle
- Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth
- Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobbiepot
- Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nigma
So, When Will Be Gotham Season 6 Be Released?
Last April 25, 2019, we witnessed Bruce Wayne’s return to Gotham after nearly a decade. We see how Bruce isn’t so little anymore and how things have changed.
All this, we get to see on Gotham Season 5 Episode 12 entitled “The Beginning”.
With its last episode having that title, is that a subtle hint from Gotham’s creators? Does this signal a beginning of another show? We need answers!
Where Can I Watch the New Episodes of Gotham When They Air?
Because there are no new episodes, it might be a good idea to re-watch every Gotham episode there is! Maybe giving them the show more views will encourage the creators to continue with Gotham or even better, release a sequel!
If you plan on binge watching Gotham, you can find it on Netflix and FOX.com.
