If you are looking for a series to kill some time with and that’s also going to blow your mind, you should definitely watch this reboot of Utopia. Though it was a UK’s Channel 4 original, Amazon Prime managed to get the permission to make their own version of the show. This conspiracy thriller adaptation was written by the award-winning Gillian Flynn who was responsible for writing Gone Girl.
Plot of Utopia Season 2
The story of Utopia revolves around a graphic novel that seems to be predicting future viruses. With The Harvest, a group of torturers or interrogators, on the hunt, and Fanboys who are convinced that Dystopia having predicted Ebola and MERS are a prequel to Utopia, leaves our main character Jessica Hyde without much room to run and hide in.
Compared to the UK version, the US adaptation is less violent. To be honest, Amazon Prime’s Utopia was not as appealing to the masses as we would expect.

With a seemingly underrated cast, Utopia has made bigger waves than the show’s creators would have expected. I mean, it is a show about conspiracy theories on global pandemics aired in the middle of an actual pandemic.

So, When Will Utopia Season 2 Be Released?
As of today, there hasn’t been any official announcement of a Utopia Season 2. However, fans are speculating that since Utopia Season 1 ended quite abruptly, it could be a hint that a second season is in the making.
During an interview with a radio station, Gillian Flynn revealed that they are “dipping into season two. And I’ve told everyone, the world is open, let’s see what we want to do.” In addition to that, the UK adaptation of Utopia had a total of season 2 so it’s pretty likely that they are going to follow a similar path.
Where Can I Watch the New Episodes of Utopia When They Air?
Currently, you can only stream Utopia on Amazon Prime Video but let’s keep our hopes up that they give other platform the rights.
