The Mandalorian Season 2 Gets Creative With Episode Alerts and Countdown

The new trailer for The Mandalorian season 2 is set to premiere later tonight at the Monday Night Football matchup. In the meantime, while waiting for its release, the series got us some promo videos enough to tide us over.

The videos contain no major reveals, but they featured bounty hunter Din Djarin and The Child in new thrilling scenes. A touching snippet where The Mandalorian reaches its finger to The Child can also be expected from the series.

Another creative material released by the show is the episode alert below. Fans who would “heart” the said tweet will receive weekly reminders when a new episode drops.

Check out this premiere countdown shared by Star Wars’ official account. A bounty of new products including books, comics, video game content inspired by The Mandalorian awaits.

Recent reports on season 2 have revealed the returns of Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan. It might also feature the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi Padawan turned Rebel Alliance spymaster. Current negotiations are reportedly rolled out to get Rosario Dawson to portray the fan-favorite character. However, the actor has said that the deal is not yet finalized on the part.

In addition to the new character roster, multiple directors also confirmed participation in the new season. These include Alita: Battle Angel director Robert Rodriguez and Ant-Man franchise director Peyton Reed.

Season two follows Mando and The Child continuing their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies while outriding a dangerous galaxy. Tasked with reuniting Baby Yoda with “his own kind,” Mando adheres to orders issued by an unnamed Mandalorian Armorer. 

Pedro Pascal stars as the titular Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. He is joined by Gina Carano who plays Cara Dune, a former Rebel Shock Trooper. Carl Weathers also stars as Greef, a guild of bounty hunters head that hires The Mandalorian for a specific job.

The Mandalorian is executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist will serve as the co-executive producer of the show.

The Mandalorian Season 2 debuts on October 30 on Disney+.
