The highly anticipated series will hit Netflix on October 9, Friday. The worldwide release will drop all the episodes at once so fans can binge-watch the series over the weekend.
How many episodes will there be for The Haunting of Bly Manor?
There will be a total of nine episodes for The Haunting of Bly Manor.
A little over a week before its global premiere, the show’s official Twitter account shared nine eerie images. Each image contained the titles for the episodes with one-liner captions hinting viewers about its plot.
The episode titles for the new series are as follows:
- Episode One – The Great Good Place
- Episode Two – The Pupil
- Episode Three – The Two Faces Part 1
- Episode Four – The Way It Came
- Episode Five – The Altar of the Dead
- Episode Six – The Jolly Corner
- Episode Seven – The Two Faces Part 2
- Episode Eight – TBA
- Episode Nine – The Beast in the Jungle
However, the image for Episode 8 did not reveal its title nor dropped clues about it. Instead, it left blank spaces for guessing, much like the game Hangman.
Based on Henry James’ novella “The Turn of the Screw,” the story will follow a governess who works at an estate. After having supernatural encounters and experiences, she begins to believe that the house on which she is employed is haunted.
The Haunting of Bly Manor is the sequel of 2018’s The Haunting of Hill House, based on Shirley Jackson’s novel of the same name. The first series was a critically-acclaimed horror drama hit and won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in Screenplay.
Several actors from the first installment will return to play new characters in The Haunting of Bly Manor. Victoria Pedretti, Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen will be back with a new set of names and backgrounds. The series also stars Catherine Parker, T’Nia Miller, Amelia Eve, Amelie Smith and Benjamin Ainsworth.
