Lucifer Season 6: Writers Celebrate Plot Completion For Finale Series

Behold, Lucifans! The end is coming near, as one chapter in this fan-favorite supernatural storytelling has now officially closed. Lucifer’s final season has been successfully plotted.

On Wednesday, writer Chris Rafferty made the announcement on a Twitter post. The posted image featured the Zoom meeting room of all the show’s writers from its debut season ‘til present.

The captions reads, “Big day today. The FINAL DAY of the #Lucifer Writers Room. After us S6 writers finished plotting the series finale we’ve always wanted, we celebrated… with writers from seasons past! Although we’ve brought our epic story to its conclusion, this family will last forever.”

On the other hand, this is not the first time that Rafferty did the same announcement. He also created the same tribute for Season 5 last February. Using the same social media account, the writer claimed bittersweet feelings after plotting the supposed series finale.

He wrote, “Final day of the #Lucifer Writers Room as we finished plotting our series finale. It hasn’t sunk in yet because we still have more writing, shooting & editing to do, but we celebrated this bittersweet day with lots of laughs & love, SO excited for you to see #LuciferSeason5!

However, word had it that Netflix was unsure about ending the series at five seasons. After all, the stars were contracted for six seasons. Later then, in June, Netflix finally ended speculations and assured viewers that there would be a “Final, final season.”

“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms,” said showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich of the renewal. “Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!”

When will Lucifer Season 5 Part 2 be released?

The first part of Lucifer season 5 is now streaming on Netflix, while its second part has yet to come.

However, showrunner Joe Henderson recently confirmed that filming for the second half of series five has been completed. Moreover, production moved immediately after to begin working on season 6.

In another tweet, Henderson also shared how he had looked at “the latest cut” of that series five finale episode. The showrunner can’t help but express gratitude toward the cast, crew and writing staff because “it is so amazing.”

Both Lucifer season 5 part 2 and season 6 have yet to release their official premiere dates. In the meantime, previous seasons of the show can be streamed online on Netflix.
