DC’s Doom Patrol has officially been renewed for season 3 but to some fans dismay, with a more limited streaming platform distribution.
Fans of the popular DC Universe show were previously able to stream episodes on HBO Max or via a DC Universe subscription. For Season 3, Warner Media announced that Doom Patrol will solely be shown on HBO Max.
A new season of the HBO Max original does not come as a surprise as the finale to season 2 left viewers with a cliffhanger with most of the Doom Patrol being trapped in wax after an attack from the villain ‘the Candlemaker’.
Doom Patrol Season 3 Release Date
As of yet, there is no official release date for season 3 but season 1 was released in February of 2019, and season 2 was released in June of 2020. The show, created by Jeremy Carver has been received in a much more favorable light than the majority of DC’s cinematic releases both critically and in terms of audience ratings.
Doom Patrol stars Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, April Bowlby as Elasti-Girl, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor, Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, and Timothy Dalton as Chief.
The previous seasons of Doom Patrol are available on HBO Max and the DC Universe app.
