Pixar dropped the trailer for the new Buzz Lightyear film, “Lightyear”, that’s set to follow the origin story of the “real” person behind the Space Ranger himself. Buzz Lightyear will be voiced by Chris Evans, who has expressed his excitement for the recent release of the trailer.
“I’m covered in goosebumps. And will be every time I watch this trailer,” Evans wrote on Twitter. “Or hear a Bowie song. Or have any thought whatsoever between now and (June) cause nothing has ever made me feel more joy and gratitude than knowing I’m a part of this.”
The film’s trailer has everyone’s inner child jumping for joy, as the teaser shows what we can expect from the upcoming production. Disney Pixar fans have expressed their excitement for the film’s debut.
“Chris Evans voicing Buzz Lightyear instead of Tim Allen is an upgrade. Sorry, not sorry,” one user wrote, as another said, “Buzz Lightyear’s design in #Lightyear honestly looks REALLY cool”.
The synopsis of “Lightyear” is as follows:
“The sci-fi action-adventure presents the definitive origin story of Disney Buzz Lightyear—the hero who inspired the toy—introducing the legendary Space Ranger who would win generations of fans.”
“Lightyear” will hit theaters June 17, 2022, and the arrival of a full trailer for the film is expected to release in the near future.
