According to Murphy’s Multiverse, Sony Pictures Executive Marketing Director Camila Pacheco revealed at ExpoCine that the upcoming third installment has officially started production. Furthermore, fans will get the first look at the film this coming December 2020.
Murphy’s Multiverse claims that Pacheco “alternated between the words preview and teaser trailer when discussing the project.” That said, it looks like we’ll get more details on the Spider-Man sequel just in time for the holiday season.
Filming will take place in Queens, New York carrying a working title, “Serenity Now.” Pacheco also confirmed that the film will commit to its December 2021 release date.
ExpoCine gathers makers from the cinematographic industry to exhibit their upcoming lineups to multiple film exhibitors from Brazil and worldwide. Some of the attendees who graced the event were Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, Universal, and Netflix.
Sony Pictures also gave glimpses of first looks and behind the scenes footage for the upcoming Monster Hunter film. Along with it are some updates on Connected, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Hotel Transylvania 4, and more.
Moreover, Morbius and Venom: Let There Be Carnage were revealed to be released in March 2021 and June 2021 respectively.
Spider-man 3: What else do we know so far?
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man for the third outing of fan-favorite Disney, Marvel and Sony-shared franchise.
In a short video clip shared online, the actor confirms that they have landed in Atlanta. He excitedly exclaims, “It’s time for Spider-man 3. Let’s go!”
In addition, Tom further teased fans after taking another video of himself receiving an iPad containing the upcoming film’s script.
Benedict Cumberbatch is also set to appear in the movie as Doctor Strange, Peter’s new mentor. Another highly anticipated return is of Jamie Foxx’ Electro. Whether it is the same Electro from Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-man 2 or a new character remains unknown.
Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home director Jon Watts returns to helm the third film, with Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal producing. The same supporting cast is expected to return including Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revelori, Angourie Rice, Martin Starr, and J.B. Smoove.
