Kung Fu Panda 4: Release Date, Cast, Has It Been Confirmed?

The Kung Fu Panda movies are a force to be reckoned with. And that’s not just because a kung-fu-obsessed panda is at the heart of the story. The potential of Kung Fu Panda 4 hitting the screens would bring a smile to those who enjoyed following Po, the mighty, spunky panda who ventures on to become a master of kung fu. But will there be a Kung Fu Panda 4, and when can fans expect a release date? We’re here to break those questions down.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Release Date: When Will It Premiere?

It’s safe to say that the time has come for Kung Fu Panda 4 to be released. But when? If we look at previous release dates, the timing between the each previous Kung Fu Panda movie was a bit sporadic: Kung Fu Panda came out in June of 2008, its sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2, arrived in May 2011 and the latest movie, Kung Fu Panda 3, premiered in January of 2016. It’s easy to see that producers spread out the timing between each film in varying lengths.

So, when exactly can fans expect a new film? Well, it’s hard to say. There is no confirmed release date for a fourth movie, but if time tells us anything, we might be able to expect Kung Fu Panda next year since 2020 is nearing an end.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Cast: Who Will Be in the Movie?

Perhaps the best part of Kung Fu Panda 4 we can expect is the stand-out cast that has made up the three previous films in the franchise. Seriously, which other actor in Hollywood could fulfill the role of an animated panda than Jack Black? And just to name a couple others, we can’t forget about Jackie Chan as Master Monkey or Angelina Jolie as Master Tigress. One can only imagine what these famous actors will bring to the fourth Kung Fu Panda film.

In the meantime, watching the other movies in the series, as well as the ever-popular television series spin-offs, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness (September 2011-February 2016) and Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny (November 2018-July 2019) will have to do,
