Silk Sonic Drops Latest Single Days Before Album Release

The hype for Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s upcoming album, “An Evening with Silk Sonic” has never been stronger, as their latest single, “Smokin’ Out the Window,” made its debut over the weekend.

The single’s release was accompanied by a music video that showcased the group’s retro aesthetic and smooth vocals. “Smokin’ Out the Window” revolves around the betrayal one feels after finding out that your lover is cheating on you, causing you to stress smoke.

In the song’s chorus, Mars sings, “Oh, I thought that girl belonged to only me / But I was wrong because she belong to everybody,” and .Paak follows with, “Look here, baby, I hope you find whatever it is that you need / But I also hope that your trifling ass is walking around barefoot in these streets!”.

Based on the reaction to the song on Twitter, Mars and .Paak aren’t the only two that can relate to this situation.

“Smokin’ Out the Window” marks the third single from Silk Sonic’s upcoming album, “An Evening with Silk Sonic”. The album is set to debut Nov. 12, and many predict it will be the best album of the year.

“Drake this, Adele that. The album of the year is coming from @AndersonPaak & @BrunoMars,” one fan tweeted, as another wrote, “I don’t care how much we had to wait for the Silk Sonic album. Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak are 3/3 in terms of singles and they’re comfortably aiming towards the Album Of The Year”.
