Dua Lipa made her runway debut on Friday during Versace’s Spring/Summer 2022 show at Milan Fashion Week. The singer, and now runway model, started off the show by walking out to her hit song, “Physical”.
Lipa sported a black cutout blazer with a matching skirt, featuring stunning cutouts and multicolored safety pins. Later, the star wrapped things up in a magenta two-piece that was effortlessly pinned together by large pink safety pins.
While this might be Dua Lipa’s first time hitting the runway, her appearance doesn’t come as a surprise, as she’s also the face of Versace’s Fall/Winter 2021 Campaign. Lipa walked alongside other big-name celebs, like Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Naomi Campbell. At the end of the show, the star joined Donatella Versace in a final bow.
Dua Lipa was essential to the fashion show in more ways than one, as Versace revealed that the models walked to the beat of the pop star’s “Future Nostalgia” album.
Let’s get physical – we returned to #MFW with a physical show opened and closed by #DuaLipa and soundtracked by hits from her #FutureNostalgia album. “It has been such an incredible experience to continue my journey with my Versace family from starring in a campaign to now opening the SS22 show!” Lipa said in a statement. “Donatella, it’s been a dream to walk in your beautiful show.”
