The Mandalorian Season 3: Pedro Pascal Returns Confirms Stunt Double

The Mandalorian season 2 has come to an end which left fans asking a lot of questions about its future. Among those is Pedro Pascal’s character Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian possibly exiting the show after completing his mission. Viewers can finally ease their minds as the actor’s stunt double confirms his return next season.

Titled The Rescue, the Disney+ series final episode saw Mando and Grogu aka Baby Yoda finally go their separate ways. Digitally de-aged Luke Skywalker came to their rescue, and then took the Force-wielding creature away for some Jedi training. Fans were naturally left heartbroken as a helmetless Mando teared up over Grogu’s departure. Some even concluded that this could actually be the end of the Mandalorian’s journey, too.

However, it may be too premature to assume things this early as the actor’s stunt double debunks this speculation. Brendan Wayne, Pascal’s stunt double on The Mandalorian, took to social media to praise Pascal’s performance during season 2 run. He wrote, “No spoilers!!! But just in case the world didn’t know yet @pascalispunk is incredible. The journey they wrote for him this season was so beautiful. The fact that Pedro went beyond the page and made this epic.”

He then concluded with the wonderful confirmation that Pascal will return. “Yes!! Pedro is coming back and awesome . There was never any question. DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ,” Wayne furthered.

Pascal joined the Star Wars universe last year as Din Djarin, the titular bounty hunter on The Mandalorian. Despite hardly seeing the Mandalorians’ face on screen because of their sacred beliefs, Pascal’s performance is widely praised by audiences. However, The Mandalorian season 2 saw Pascal remove his helmet and reveal his face more, delighting the audiences even more.

Is Pedro Pascal not returning for The Mandalorian Season 3?

The news broke that The Book of Boba Fett will get a spin-off in December 2021. This announcement seemingly fueled rumors that Pascal’s involvement in the series will be lessening over time. Lucasfilm has yet to confirm exactly what The Book of Boba Fett is, though some have insisted it is not The Mandalorian season 3. Until an official announcement is made, fans will continue to worry that Pascal won’t return to the show. Not with Din’s current journey coming in full circle.

Hence, the stunt double’s confirmation offered a slight relief for the show’s avid followers. Regardless of whether or not The Book of Boba Fett slips into The Mandalorian’s season 3, Pascal will still wear the iconic helmet. Considering Pascal’s performance this season 2, losing him now would be a huge disappointment. He’s managed to bring Din to life without even showing his face, an incredible feat that feels like Pascal could only do. While fans will need to wait before seeing Pascal slip into the Mando costume again, they can now rest assured that it will happen.
