BTS Breaks Another Record As Dynamite MV Reaches 600 Million Views

Korean boy band superstars BTS breaks another record for reaching 600 million YouTube views with their latest single, Dynamite

The single’s music video which was released on August 21, hit 600 million views on November 17 around midnight KST. This now makes them the fastest Korean act to reach such figures for a MV. It only took them 2 months, 26 days, and 11 hours to achieve the said milestone.

The previous record was held by BlackPink’s How You Like That, which accomplished the feat in 3 months, 25 days, and 7 hours. 

Dynamite is BTS’s ninth music video to reach 600 million views, following DNA, Fire, Fake Love, Boy With Luv, MIC Drop (Remix), IDOL, Blood Sweat & Tears, and DOPE.

BTS wins big at People’s Choice Awards

In another recent news, BTS has also won amass at the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards. They took home all the four awards in which they were nominated for. These include The Group of 2020, The Song of 2020 (for Dynamite), The Album of 2020 (with Map of the Soul: 7), and The Music Video of 2020 (for Dynamite).

The international stars expressed their gratitude in an acceptance speech for being hailed as The Group of 2020. 

In a short clip shared by E! News’ on Twitter, BTS said, “Thank you People’s Choice Awards and our fans for giving us the Best Group title. I know it’s been a tough year for everyone. It was for us too. But we didn’t stay idle and focused on what could do the best, which is music. We realized that with the help of music, our life goes on. We really want to thank you for listening to our music this year. And we hope our music can keep you going and living on. Thank you again.”

On the other hand, Suga, one of the band’s members, is not present during the acceptance speech. He is currently taking a break from activities to recover from a recent shoulder surgery.

BTS currently prepares for their comeback this week with their full album “BE” coming out on November 20.
