These movies have seen success time and time and again, and with four current chapters released, it doesn’t seem like it will end anytime soon. Although a fifth film has been given the green light, it hasn’t been confirmed whether or not this addition to the series will be the last. So, just how long will Keanu Reeves play John Wick? Shortly after the release of John Wick 3, the making of John Wick 4 was given the green light because of how well the third film performed. Unfortunately, the production of this fourth addition to the franchise has recently come to a halt because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Luckily, fans of the franchise were given some recent good news, as the making of a fifth movie was announced, even before releasing the fourth. Without a doubt, these movies are sure to be a box office smash, no matter their release date.
While fans are ecstatic to see these new additions announced, is Keanu Reeves on board for this ever-lasting film series? According to an article from OK Magazine, Reeves is more than willing to continue the role of John Wick. When asked how long he plans to play the super-assassin, Reeves said, “As far as my legs can take me. As far as the audience wants to go.”
Reeves isn’t the only star dedicated to the continuation of this popular series. Chad Stahelski, the franchise director, has said that he’s also willing to keep the franchise alive until somebody makes him stop. While it isn’t confirmed that the fifth addition to this action series will be the last, it seems that it’s not stopping anytime soon.
