With fans hoping that there would be a Gravity Falls Season 3, creators of the show finally announced that they are open to doing new episodes.

The first season of the show aired from 2012 to 2013 before Gravity Falls went on a two-year hiatus. While a lot of viewers noticed how different it was from the usual shows that Disney gave us throughout the years, it still gave us that light-hearted humor that we needed.

A lot of fans have been rewatching Gravity Falls especially since the pandemic started.

Plot of Gravity Falls Season 3

The plot for Gravity Falls Seasons 1 and 2 goes like this:

A pair of twins, Dipper and Mabel, went with their uncle to travel and make the most out of their vacation. They went to a city called Gravity Falls which they thought would be peaceful and simple. Things start to change when they see things that do not seem to align with how things normally occur.

They investigate deeper and start telling the townsfolks about their discoveries. Dipper, the ever so curious kid, stumbles upon a mystery book that will help them in later episodes.

Over the past few weeks, rumors have been circulating in the Internet about Gravity Falls Season 3 by using clickbait titles. Although we are all hoping for a third season, the show’s creator Alex Hirsch announced that the show will be ending back in 2015.

Because of the fan’s dissatisfaction with the show ending, Alex Hirsch did confirm that he is open to more episodes of the show. Bear in mind that, being open to more episodes entails specials and spin-offs.
