Michael Bay has made so many Transformers movies and there are a projected 5 or 6 left to be made. I think that will put us at, like, 10? 11?

We don’t need Transformers movies. They are loud, clunky, and poorly written. Critics and audiences seem to agree that they are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to filmmaking.

So, now we have a teaser trailer for Bumblebee. Capitalizing on the cuteness factor (I’m looking at you Disney Star Wars), Travis Knight (director of the excellent Kubo and the Two Strings), has taken a fan favorite Transformer and given him his own The Iron Giant style movie.

I admire Travis Knight, The Iron Giant, and Hailee Steinfeld. I hate Transformers. We don’t need this movie anymore than we need any other Transformers film. So…why is it a thing? And…why do I feel confused in my heart when I watch this trailer?

Do I want to see this movie? I don’t know! Why did you have to do this, Travis Knight!?

Just…Why?
