I still am holding out high hopes for the new Ghostbusters. Yes, the trailers have been only okay. But cutting a trailer for the trolled-est movie in history cannot be easy. Surely Feig and his fantastic cast will still pull this all together.

And thankfully, a pop-music theme song has little bearing on a film’s quality. Because there’s a new very bad Fallout Boy theme song for Ghostbusters.

Actually, I am afraid. That I have to tell you this song blows.

The original Ghostbusters theme was written by Ray Parker, Jr (I won’t post it because you can sing in your head right now because everyone can). That song became a hit as a standalone single, and was even nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song.

Fallout Boy will probably have to wait for their next opportunity.
