Hello Readers,

You may have noticed that thestake.org has been making some changes. Our new site is up and running. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Along with our new site we are planning to increase our depth of coverage. Readers can still expect new posts 3-4 days per week, but now with a broader mix of topics featured. We are not losing our focus on pop culture and genre, but we’re adding the occasional culture and news piece to give readers a more thorough look at what’s happening across the United States, and how media and entertainment help us make sense of it all.

We’re always accepting submissions and looking for new contributors. So if that sounds of interest to you, see our submissions page, and send a pitch or a piece.

The new site also highlights The Stake Podcast in the right-hand column. The Stake Podcast was launched last year, and has been a terrific addition to our work on the website. We hope you’re enjoying it as much as we enjoy producing it. If you are, please rate on iTunes, and share with your friends.
