Today marks the release of the first full-length trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1.
Sort of.
It’s not really a trailer; it’s more of a conceptual teaser, taking the form of a propogandistic address from the series’ villain, President Snow. It’s awesome, showcasing the excellent, nuanced work of Donald Sutherland in the role. There’s also an appearance from Peeta, who at the end of Catching Fire had been taken prisoner by the Capital.
It’s smart, and subtly creepy, and I love it.
