Blastr told me that Latino Review told them that it’s possible that Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, might be the final Avenger to show up in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
If you follow The Stake at all, you know that I (czf) am a fan of Captain Marvel and its writer, Kelly Sue DeConnick. And that the idea of bringing Carol Danvers to the big screen in her current iteration would be a triumph to so many fans who are deeply committed to the new Captain Marvel title.
And yet, for all the good rumor-milling taking place on this one, it seems hard to fathom Danvers making her way into the already crowded party that is Avengers: Age of Ultron. In addition to the original crew, it’s already confirmed that Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and The Vision are joining in the fray, in addition to the new villain, the dark and awesome Ultron played by James Spader. Who had better get the screen-time we all hope and pray for.
As for who should play Carol Danvers given the very long shot this comes to fruition? My opinion on the matter hasn’t changed since September. Katee Sackhoff should play Ms. Marvel. She’s already played one kick ass pilot. Why not another?
