Need another reason to protect animal habitats? How about protection from a possible zombie apocalypse?
At Boing Boing, David Mizejewski of the National Wildlife Foundation explains how the animal kingdom would deal with a horde of walking dead. Spoiler alert: very well.
Between scavenging birds like vultures and crows, bears, horned mammals, crocodiles and alligators, and microscopic decomposers, walking corpses wouldn’t last long. But Mr. Mizejewski doesn’t say much about what would happen if the zombie infection affected animals as well. This seems like an untapped potential in the zombie genre: if you think that a horde of zombified humans is terrifying, what about a zombie bear?
Anyway, it’s a fun read with a good message: we need to do a better job of protecting endangered species from still-living humans.
The Zombie virus has a few strains carried by iphones and TVs. Among them are three aggressive strains, the Facebook virus, Hollywood virus and Mainstream Media virus. These strains bring on severe symptoms such as insecurity, low self esteem, neediness, paranoia, apathy, anger, envy, jealousy, and fear, leaving the infected individual delusional and wandering in a Dystopian void. The belief that the infection causes external skin rot is a myth. In reality the rot is located deep within the individuals psyche. Zombies are not fiction, thousands exist on the planet today, but mostly in Westernized Cultures.
Love it! You’ve hit the nail on the head. Though I’d like a flesh eating virus or odd drug addition to pop up at some time.
