Something we don’t like at The Stake: celebrities using Kickstarter to crowd-fund projects that could, with relative ease, find funding elsewhere. Kickstarter is a brilliant resource for those who have original ideas and the capacity to follow-through on those ideas, but lack access to the capital required. Zach Braff and Amanda Palmer, whether their projects are worthy or not, are taking dollars away from those who could really use them.

So it is not without glee that we share this video of Daniel Radcliffe’s Kickstarter project pitch. Seems like a worthy cause to us.
