On August 8th, A24 is hosting free showings of Eighth Grade in all 50 states. The film is rated R, which is dumb of course, but so many of the MPAA’s rating decisions are. So the point of this free screening is to give those under the age of 17, like say, eighth graders, an opportunity to see the movie. And for anyone else who’s interested.
And for free! A24! Bo Burnham! So generous.
In the Twin Cities, the hosting cinema is AMC Eden Prairie 18, which happens to be in Eden Prairie. The screening is at 7:45, but you’d probably wanna show up a little early. If you’re not in Minnesota, find your showing here.
Go see it. Enjoy. It’s a terrific film.
